Hi all,
as I got a complete set of the 4500 range, I would like to do a recap on all of these ones.
Does anybody have a list of needed caps - maybe already a shopping cart ?
Thanks / Kind Regards from Münster
Tom

Hi, I´ve done the same recap last year and have an excell sheet with all the elco´s if you still need it, plus the order list from mouser. Do you have the manuals?
Greetings, Bram
Hi Bram,
sounds good ! Please can you send the sheet to me ? Then I will order them directly.
I will check If all the manuals will be available and aould let you know, once needed.
Thanks a lot/Kind Regards
Hi Tom, I´ve sent you a private message, if you didn´t receive it can you PM me?
Greetings, Bram.
Hi Bram, is it possible to send me the excell list to do a recap on my beosystem 4500 please. Right channel isn't playing anymore. While the master is open to check the problem it's a good time to update the rest too. Thanks ahead. Michael

I would not just go ahead and change capacitors unless something is wrong. The reason your right channel is dead is almost 100% NOT because of capacitors. It is the mute relay or an amplifier transistor. It is easy to test, just plug speakers in Speaker 2 and see if there is sound then. If both channels work, it is the mute relay, if not it might be the amplifier. Also try the headphone connector to see if there is sound in that.

Hi Weebyx,
Thanks for your reply.
I tried playing through Speaker 2 but got the same result. No right channel.
Its a problem i've been experiencing for some time. Before i just moved to cables around a bit, switched the system on/off after which i had both channels playing again. Now however i can't get anything out of the right channel anymore.
Can't check the headphone output as the system is already at the repair shop. Ill forward him your info.
He is refurbishing my M100's too. If you have any suggestions for that i would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks ahead!
Michael
Hi again Weebyx,
Indeed, there is no need to start changing caps etc as the only problem was some (6 actually) loos contacts which where resoldered.
Problem fixed.
M100's print plate needed quite some replacement parts. Plays on another lever now
Cheers,
Hi. I have a 4500 with distortion on both channels, think it might need a recap. Any ideas which ones are most likely the culprits? Might just do a full recap anyway as they're all prob getting past they're best by now...
Any chance I could trouble you for those Excell sheets?
