Hi there guys, hopefully this is in the right section and somebody can help me!

After returning back from Australia after 4 years, I have set up my MK2 (I think) Beovision 7-40 but unfortunately upon turning it on, the screen is simply blank and the red standby light is illuminated in the bottom right hand corner.

The unit has been in storage at my parents house, previously where it used to be set up and working approximately 2 years ago.

Due the the remote getting misplaced somewhere along the line, I purchased a new Beo One remote yesterday to use with my set, and the guy in the shop set it up so that it should work with the TV.

1)The DVD drawer opens and closes by the touch screen button but nothing else happens.

2)I have my pin code to hand, however the screen is totally blank and not even prompting me for it.

3)I have tried, unplugging the unit, and plugging it back in and also left it plugged in over night but still no joy.

4)The TV has been in my living room for a week now, so I cant see it being a temperature related problem.

Any ideas guys? I hope this is not going to be too expensive to sort out. :-(

Thanks in advance,

Ben

Hi Ben

Is your BeoRemoteOne in Bluetooth or ir mode? If you have a BT version of this remote you need to select BEOVISION in the list section, this then sends infra-red signal to your BeoVision 7. Out of the box the BeoRemoteOne may be in Bluetooth mode.
