Is there someplace with a manual how to take cover off?  Have a problem with arm lifting off at end of play, but not high enough..therefor  runs on record  during first part of return..not very mechanical person, no local service. I need to adjust height of liftoff at end of record

This sounds like a lubrication problem. The arm is not lifting high enough fast enough!

If you slide the wooden surround forward about 1cm you will find that the aluminium panels will become loose and can be lifted out, starting at the rear right corner.

This article may help you:-

Didn't Mika do a thread on this on the old site?

EDIT:  Yes, he did.  With pictures.  That survive.
