Thanks for the reply! Has anyone in Europe had it installed? I have been going through the installation manual and it clearly states that for the european market a nest link should be installed. I am living in a three apartment house. Each apartment uses the same burner but uses its own thermostat. Anyone with a similar setup?
Hallo!
I think that the technique in EU is different to those in US; you would probably need some "Linkable" Radiator thermostates/Valves that control the water flow at each radiator; on my opinion the Nest Thermostate controls the boiler only...
would be nice to know any working solution best regards Elmar

So Ican use the nest as central heating regulator; ergo the BLGW can be used the same way.
was it difficult to install it? Do you need a professional or is it something DIY?

I am asking cause in Greece when you want something a bit outside of usual the "professiona'sl" answer is: "well, this does not work in Greece". So I probably have to install it myself and although I have an engineering degree I get easily frustrated when things do not go as planned! it is the Mediterranean blood!
Installing the Nest was amazingly simple. With your phone, you take a photo of the wiring of your current thermostat. Then, when at your computer you refer to the photo to tick boxes corresponding to the color of wires on a screen on the Nest site. It then generates a guide customized exactly to you that you can print.

this is the case in the states...in europe you have to install something like a bridge to the burner and then the thermostat to the bridge....
