Do you have a Masterlink cable connected to the TV or is the BeoVision 10 standalone?

When you switch the TV on you say the Green light goes off, but when you switch off the TV using the remote control do you get the red light?

... hey;

Yes: The green light goes off - and will come again after some time. Red light hardly ever comes - though pushing the standby-button on the BEO4. And: No, it´s stand-alone in my bedroom ... Cheers, R.

The problem is starting to sound like a power supply fault.

Was the TV previously working without any issues and then suddenly had this fault?

... hey;

Now opened the BV10-40 and it seems as if i had found the fault - which does not really make me happy at all: When i disconnect the LVDS-Display-Cable then the machine runs off. You can then even control the volume (you hear that standby-noise of the speakers increasing / decreasing when pushing the voulme button) and also does the set at least stay on ... Soooo: Any idea where to get a spare panel from for this device?

Based on your latest feedback I must assume the panel is holding down one or more of the power supply lines.

Interestingly, one of the known common faults is in fact the LVDS cable connector itself and apparently it normally shows up as an intermittent fault.

What version of BeoVision 10-40 do you have. Check the 4 digit Type number

... hey;

It´s a 9572-Type: D´you mean the connector or the plug? So would you think about a defective LVDS-Cable or a defective PCB / Connector-Mount?

OK, you have a Mark 2 version.

PCB 14 J17 - LCD panel.

Can be the cable itself or its connection into the plug.

Yeppp. It´s a MKII - And, if i then understand you correctly - that means that the connectors mounted on the PCBS (Main-PCB / Display-Controller) should not be affected. So getting a new LVDS cable might be a hint? ^^

If that is the cause then i´ll give you a private message. Think i´ll get some champaign for you then ^^
