Here you go

Right from the store in Northampton

Great sound can imagine these in hotels, bars, shops and at home.

What a beautiful peace of technology

Perhaps a little clinical for my ears but still good sound.

Much more power and sound than my lab12-3 few years ago with rear facing woofers.

You don't feel music is coming from any specific tile when you stand in front of them

Great forward projection

They look fantastic! I could easily find a home for them :)

Dare I ask how much that 8 speaker set-up retails for?

Love it Big Smile

Thinking of putting it on the ceiling as part of a Dolby Atmos setup. It's so light I can mount it myself !!!

Very nice! I'm curious: Are the blues still noticeable as blue, or are they so dark that they seem nearly black? I've been disappointed with the blue that was used for BeoLab speakers in the past looking nearly black.

Closer to £5,000 or just over for 8 depending on choice of cores, dampness etc.

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

That installation looks amazing. Too bad most houses aren't built with faux walls to hide the real wall. I'd be curious to see a "normal" real-life installation.

Very interesting to see the detailed installation pictures and the laser lines.

That arrangement, although appearing wonderfully irregular, had units at the extreme left and right at the same height from the floor.  Is this important to achieve a good sound stage or is that not considered to be an important sonic result with these units.

I'd imagine it looks pretty much the same – except in many cases one cable cover for the power cables coming down from the Shape's lowest point. Within the Shape itself cables can be hidden & routed behind the covers.

B&O product history since 1991: Ridiculously long to list in a signature.

I would hope no one will end up with a visible power cable. That would spoil the aesthetic.

I'm assuming one can daisy-chain power between units, -- or does each unit have to have a separate cable? Effectively, can only one unit be plugged into the wall?

As promised we would like to share our 20 tile BeoSound Shape installation experience from the Ealing showroom, west London.

We installed ours onto a plasterboard wall which had timber behind from a previous Avant 85” installation. From start to finish with two professional installers this took 4-5 hours and the end result is amazing.

Thankfully all of the new builds in Ealing have plasterboard walls so most installations should be relatively easy.

We hope you like it! Smile

We put our 8 tile Shape with four speakers into the store today and for circa £4250, I was very impressed. This set up is supposed to be similar in performance to BeoLab 17, but to my ears was much more impressive. Doesn't have the acoustic lens sound of BeoLab 18s, but I think it will be far more popular than my initial thoughts after meeting the Shape in Denmark earlier this year. Three new products in the store, and I'm feeling very positive!

I'm sure there are plenty of M.C. Escher works with hexagonal tiles that folks might want to consider to integrate into their Shape installations.

I like this though, very good although a little too brown and antique looking for my liking! Can definitely see it working though in someone's home!

In this case it is not M.C. Escher Smile but lady who has very interesting concept shop (www.atelierwanderlust.at), giving vintage objects new live. I saw this sideboard and the first association was BS Shape. It is of course not the everyman taste but I like it ...

I heard an 8-shape this afternoon and wasn't that impressed I have to say. Someone on the forum mentioned it is similar sound to BL17 but that wasn't my experience. I am quite pleased it didn't work for me to be honest as that's an easy decision made and a c£5k cost made. I was going to buy one for my kitchen but I think I'll go the second tv route instead. Anyone else got any observations on the shape?

Could you elaborate on this a little bit please?

What do you compare it to?

Did you listened to another system in the same room?

So far I've only heard the Shape in a noisy store during the presentation of the Eclipse, so I will refrain from making any conclusions as of yet.

My initial observations are mixed. I've heard a 12 speaker and I believe 4 speaker setup. The setups where placed in very different areas of the shop.

The 4 (or might have been 8) speaker setup left me impressed, as my expectations were quite moderate for this size. Especially the bass impressed me. The sound was full.

The 12 speaker setup on the other hand sounded quite tinny, and I was quite puzzled by this.

I will definitely visit the store again, as the overall idea and product execution really impressed me.

Hopefully there is some sort of room compensation that can been adjusted, similar to the "free, wall, corner" settings of most B&O products.

Beovision Eclipse gen2 (GX) w/ floorstand, Beolab 14.2, 4 speaker Shape and ATV4/Chromecast.

Thank you for this first impression Mikael.

I wonder how good it sounds if you sit down with the Shape in your back (back to the wall) ???
