Perhaps the new mediaplayer (updated BS5e) with Airplay & DLNA on which B&O is working?

A dealer told me a few month ago that there will be (possible) an update for this Beosound on which B&O is working . . . .

Fingers crossed, that would be nice. Then you can use your iThing for control. I hope for this productlaunch. It is for youngsters and streaming nowadays is a hot item.

Let's wait and see.

I can't say too much, but I know about it.

Being very obtuse, and wildly inaccurate, think Cona with Airplay.

Yeah the new V2 at £999 for the 40" sounds cool!  Not keen on the new ASDA price recycled CRT screen in order to keep B&Os margins up though ;) and having to pay an extra £74 for the mains lead seems a bit cheeky but hey the B&O fanatics will pay ;)

Nearly Christmas? Some people are just coming back from their *Summer* holidays. It's still 28c in Southern Italy.

Only Brits could say it's nearly Christmas. To an Italian, it's still very warm and they've just got back to work from the entire August off!

Here in Germany the shops are already full of "Lebkuchen" (gingerbread) ,"Glühwein" and other goodies. So Christmas can't be that far away!

Supermarkets in the UK had Easter stuff in the first week of January....doesn't mean Easter (in April), was close :) Supermarkets/shops always look to cash in early. Harrods setup their Christmas department mid-Summer, for example. There's even a 365-days-a-year Christmas shop here in Bath.

I think there's something wrong with people who start talking about Christmas in September, a few weeks after returning from their warm summer holiday. Hell, you could go to Cyprus next week and it will be close to 30c :)

Vince

Interesting.... the idea of a Beoplay stereo speaker, either stand mount or floor-stander, possibly to match the likes of the V1 makes some sense in terms of a product niche, and pricing.

October is shaping up to be an interesting month in the world of B&O!

Best Regards

John.... Cool

Refreshing this thread.

Listened to the Beoplay A9 at my dealer today.

Sound was truly fantastic! Deep bass and all the details you would expect from a B&O speaker. I was amazed.

The volume adjustment by touching was clever and cool.

I thought the A9 would look bulky, but id did not. Think legs are nicer that a wall mount. More attitude that way.

I´m just sad I have no place to put one in my home.

From your picture it doesn't look overly imposing at all.

I am completely fascinated by the A9. I can't wait for more reviews to start coming in.

I have a geneva sound model L already and was thinking of upgrading to either the XL model or the A9 for my secondary system.

Go for the A9. The sound is SO much better than the XL. A side by side comparison would beat the crap out of the Geneva XL.
