First time visit to the US, exciting! My employer wants me to get to Houston. Anybody I know on this forum who lives there? Would be great meeting you!

I'm just 2 hours flight time away, just a little south of Houston, you are welcome any time.

Unfortunately I live in Florida and am in the process of moving to Georgia, nowhere near Houston, as id love to meet you.

Hope you have a good trip, how long are you staying?

Texas is a great state, you should find a gun range that rents pistols and burn thru a couple of hundred rounds, just for fun and the experience. I doubt you get much of that at home. Might as well try the forbidden fruit while you can!

One of my dreams comes (hopefully) true Lee. My trip still has to be approved. I have been in many countries worldwide. Canada (Alberta Fort McMurray, in the middle of nowhere and beautiful) and Martinique were the closest.

Me too Jeff! I will stay for 2-3 weeks and now looking for what could be interesting to see in that area during the weekends.

Never had a gun in my hand before so that could be one thing to start with (not sure if that's wise though)Devil

What do you mean by forbidden fruit?

Texas BBQ, hmmmm. I've heard that the plates they serve are slightly bigger then oursSmile

It slowly comes back to me, last time was about 5 years ago, there is a BIG mall with a million shops, Galeria, there is a hotel build into the mall.

I got my most expensive haircut ever on that mall, needed to cut my hair, and just went into the first hair cutter shop I saw, without checking, USD 110.00.

Took some 45 min. I think the barber (sorry hair stylist) was gay, hair wash, head massage and a lot of blow drying, and at last some stinking perfume that lasted for a week. And non Beo soft music from hidden speakers.

My lokal barber here in mex. cost USD 6.00 and he does it in 8 min. flat, and he even cut the hairs coming out of my nose, the gay one didn't.

As I have told some of my clients, where we have small problems with Honeywell switches, that a specialist will visit in December, I will have to postpone to January as well, I will inform  my clients accordingly Big SmileBig Smile

BTW, January is a lot better, less overbooked flights, cheaper tickets, and you may run into a lot of "after Xmas" sales, very cheap gadgets on sale. These sales in the US are special, I never seen anything like it in other countries, later years there was a lot of electronics to rock bottom prices. 1st of January, start surfing on Amazon, Best Buy, and other for you interesting sites. Get an US address to ship too and make your shopping. And January in Galerias Houston, they give away everything for free Whistle. So bring an extra suitcase, or buy one on saleBig Smile

I just looked at the job listings on the corporate site.. Looks like they have 5 open positions in central OH.

Or better yet, you should get me an internship in the Netherlands! Laughing

Houston rocks!  Whilst the rest of the country is buried in snow, we're sipping adult beverages on the patio in jeans & t-shirt!

I'll PM you for the details of your visit.  You'll love it here!
