I'm interested in the original aerials for the Beovision 600 and similar.

Judging from the old catalogues and press photos there were a couple of aerial designs. One a straighforward dual aerial with straight prongs and the other a circular design.

Does anyone know any more about these aerials and has pictures on how they connect to the system?

Thanks

Ben

The circular type plugs directly into two small sockets at the top of the TV.

Beovision 601 is slightly different but same method:

Hi Ben,

as promised I took 3 Beovisions from that epoch out from their hiding place and took few pictures of their aerials and back side conections. Those are Beovison 400, Beovision 500 and Beovision 601.

Even though they are all from late 60's / early 70's all 3 of them have different connections and aerial. Look to the pictures...

If I can help you more, please write me back.

601 on a trumpet stand... wow. Straight out from a scifi movie.

Hmmm, not exactly from scifi movie but straight from its personal roller shutter cabinet (where it is taking care of some special spirits of mine Whistle)...

Thank you all for your responses and for Theomaster for the photos.

I will respond substantively at the weekend when I have the chance, but I love the trumpet stand! My 600 is on the four point stand but the trumpet stand is just wonderful.

Late response, but here is the top of my 600. Interesting that it doesn’t have the standard straight aerial seen in those pictures of the 601.

Than you will have to find the very rare circular aerial Ben.

Here a picture of it:

Yup, already on the look out! I am very jealous of your trumpet stand Theomaster! Mine has the four spoke stand with wheels.  I wish this era of televisions was more common in the UK but you hardly ever see them for sale.
