With bright colourful screens my new Beovision 11 produces a very light humming sound. It can be heard loudest with animated screens during news programms or netflix cartoons. We could hear it from day 1 but didn’t think much of it, but now it starts to be annoying sometimes.Dark images produce virtually no noise, whereas a normal or bright image results in a buzzing which changes pitch back and forth when the shot on screen changes.
We were just watching the news and could hear it very loud sometimes and the lady of the house turned her head and said, come on honey, this cant be true for a 5000 EUR television :(
i am afraid she is right. I will call the dealer tomorrow but i hate the idea they have to take the TV for repair.
any other things I can try? The sound is coming from the lower right end or the TV, hard to tell if is from a speaker or not. But when muting the speakers you can still hear it.
And selecting screen off in the TV remote menu completely silences the humming. Probably related to the fact bright screens draw most current causing the humming.
any advice ?
Sounds like an issue with the power board. I would say its probably what is usually called "Coil noise". The best fix is to have the power board or affected board replaced. It usually fixes the issue. I've noticed this many times throughout the years on different kinds of hardware and you probably have this issue with your set as well. Hopefully you still have warranty left.

Thank you Michael, this morning I informed the dealer and they had the exact same idea. A new power board is ordered and will be installed soon, this can be done on location so that saves a lot of hassle.
Lucky enough i’m still well in warranty period!
keep you guys updated .
Got a vistit today from the repair/install guy of my dealer. He exchanged the power board with a brandnew one, unfortunately no improvevemt whatsoever. It was quit a straight forward procedure by the way.
Next week he will return and exachange the three separate amplifiers , hopefully that fixes the issue.
Keep you guys updated. No other suggestions?
