U70 headphones ear control release repairable?

Hi Everyone,

I have an option to buy U70 headphones, but the seller states that on one side the "ear control release" does not work. Does any one know if this is reparable?

And actually what does this button do??? There doesn't seem to be much on this online...

I would appreciate the help!

The earpiece moves to make it more comfortable the release takes the bit of plastic out of the metal hole's on the ear cup allowing it to move and then springs back in to hold it in place so depending on how its stuck? it might be very uncomfortable, I have a few of these but have never had this problem
