Hello

I got my BV14-55 and I am very happy with it. When fed 4k video I think the image is just amazing! I paired it with a Nvidia Shield PRO 4k which means I'm not too bothered with the fact that B&O hasn't updated the internal OS from Android 5 to 6. Android 5 only supports FAT32 formatted external USB drives so that + Netflix app was the main reason for getting the Shield, but since I have found more good use for the Shield. The new Shield 4k Pro + PUC works just fine in case anyome was considering that.

After first week of ownership I have 3 questions I hope someone here can help me clear up :)

1) I can't get the BeoRemote App to work on my iOS devices. I tried iPad and iPhone. I tried creating a 5ghz network so I am sure they are on same frequency. I tried re-configuring dns, subnet etc manually, but the app never sees the product. Is the App not compatible with BV14? Anywhere I can reach the dev-team?

2) I have a set of Beoplay H9s which are paired via Bluetooth. When I turn them on the audio from the TV goes to the headphones - just like I want it. But what do I do in case I want to use my headphones for something else and then later connect. I can't find a "Send audio to" option on the remote where I can manually switch between audio playing audio from the TV or H9s. I can go into bluetooth settings and re-connect there but that is several keypresses.

3) I have a set of Beolab 5 which are connected to a soundcard with digial-out, so it's not a part of my B&O eco-system.I turn it on by pressing Radio on an old Beo4. On my new Beoremote One BT I can get it to turn on by pressing Music and then "Beo 4 Audio", then "Radio". But then I am switched out of Beovision 14 mode. Question: Can I while I am in "Beovision 14" mode get it to send the Beo4 Radio command?

Hi,

As a  fellow BV14 owner...

At the moment the B&O App does not support the BV14. There is an internal version at B&O that does support it but it's not released yet. It's better that they take there time for releasing it instead of releasing an half baked and crashing version (like the BV14 firmware at release)

Don't have answers to your 2 other questions as I don't have that setup.

Karel.

Thanks Karel, thats exciting news. How do you know about the internal version? Funny how their settings page and other places refer to the app, without the app being actually out yet.

Hope they release it soon!

How do you know about the internal version?

The developer "MrAndersen" is also a member of the BeoWorld forum... we exchanged some emails and confirmed that they have a version that supports the BV14 but it's not released yet.

#1 - The BeoRemote App will never work a NG Chassis TV. Check the Bang & Olufsen App soon for the addition of the ability to control your products in the Bang & Olufsen App. From there you will get basic control as one did with the BeoRemote App.

#2 - You will have to do a manual repairing unfortunately.

#3 - No. The remote only knows how to be in BT mode or IR mode. It can't function in both at the same time.

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
