I have recently acquired a B&O tape recorder, it plays ok and I would like to record over the tapes but I do not know how to get it record as the switches have symbols that I do not fully understand.  Some of the switches I can work out but record eludes me, can anyone help?

Hi and welcome to Beoworld!

From memory (I used to have one), you press one of the buttons that has an arrow pointing down to the middle of a tape (either 1-4, or 2-3 - this to chose which tracks to record on), and then move the control 'lever' to the play position.
