Is this ventilation grill on top of the Minette original?
Brengen & Ophalen
Certainly not. No way would B&O put that grill on there!
I can only find pictures such as that from the Paris Expo of 1965 - no grill. Also another sold recently on another sales site which had no grill either:
Thanks Dave, does the left on the picture belongs to the Minette 609k? Is that the amplifier?

That's a shame cutting a ventilation hole in such a beautifull cabinet...
He's selling a lot of vintage stuf.
Hi Leslie,
they do look good together don't they. I'd love that amp but they always cost a fortune. I've got a Grand Prix tuner which I think possibly does go with this amp (same style and size housing or thereabouts) however, I think the Minette 609K or FM as it's labelled also goes well.
Yes, this guy is a newcomer relatively speaking on eBay and he does find a lot of vintage stuff but they are usually overpriced and his descriptions are not accurate - you may have seen the 'prototype B&O' unit he had last week that I had a private conversation with Martin Dillen about. That unit cannot realisticaly have been a B&O unit for a number of reasons.
He currently has a B&O maximus 48K which I've never seen on eBay before. A nice Mini Moderne 607, mini present 607 and Master 48K too. I love them!.
Have a good weekend.
Dave.
I've just checked his contact details and I'm fairly sure it was Benny that sold me the Grand Prix. I recognise the name 'Benny Pederson' and I think I have bought from him in the past with no problems at all.
What a shame for such a rare tuner.
This particular seller has a long history on Ebay with countless ebay IDs left behind...
Martin
Now I've got one! Unfortanately with some cracked paint on the right side part of the glass but on a non printed area. The rest looks like new! Anyone who knows what colornumber (RAL) will match with the grey and blue part behind the glass?
These are close:
Grey parts: Humbrol 129/67 mixed 10/1Blue parts: Humbrol 157 with a hint of black thrown in, exact amount depending on sunbleech etc.
Really? Wow Martin, you really do know a lot, thanks a million! Never heard of "Humbrol" though. Is that a standard color code like RAL?
Just searched the Internet for Humbrol!
Lots on ebay.co.ukCheaper than I can buy them locally.
The dial glass colors can vary quite a bit. They may have varied already from the factory, I can't say, but I'm sure thatdecades of various degrees of sunlight etc. plays a role too. Do a couple of tests first and don't comparecolors until fully dried.
Will do that Martin, thanks!
