I don't think I've ever seen this colour before:

Looks somewhat odd, really...

Agreed on both points!
Angela didn't help with a possible trim color, Martin?
I'd rate this as a: BUY
All white BM3400's I've seen looks just like that one - I even have one myself.
It would first look odd if it had white edges and black anodized aluminium!

ALL aluminum face?
I thought the white models had white horizontal trim bands at the top and bottom of the face?

Yes, all aluminium. I think only the BM2000's have horizontal trim bands on the front in either white or wood. All BM3400 I've seen have all aluminium fronts - both the black and the natural ones.
After much searching, I found another!
It would be nice to have a good pic of one for the product pages!

I'll see what I can do!
I'll be back!
A white one indeed. And it's correct that there are no white top surfaces, it's all alu.Mine are exactly like that too.The rosewood and teak versions both have (all) black alu surfaces.
Funny that the seller did not take photos of the cabinet... I wonder.

That was the 2000:
The 2000 is MUCH better looking!

Have to agree... the all-alu 3400 looks like the top surface has been divided into horizontal stripes for no particular reason at all, while the 2000 is motivated by the top & bottom divisions being white. Could be one of those pieces that looks better in flesh, though.
I've never seen this white/alu version before - not even in the catalogues from that time. Looks nice to me. They showed the BM 2000 in both wood/black and white/alu - but never that 3400. Until now, I thought that the 3400 was only available in black.
