I have a Beocenter 7000 which kept turning it self off and getting hot today it went bang and smoke came out the back off it can someone recommend someone in the Kent area who would take a look at it for me to say I am upset is a understatement.

Or would it be the 'idle current trimmers which I can replace if so where do I buy these from

Thank you

Sue

Hello,

The closest place to you that I know about is quality dream audio, I have never had anything repaired by them but do know them, they do repair such items

if you get it fixed or replaced and need a cartridge repair take a look over here

This is what happens when signs of problems are noticed - but ignored.
The idle current has been too high for too long, it doesnt get better by itself - only worse -  and the output stage has now burned.
It's no longer a question of replacing the idle current trimmers and adjust them, now it's a matter of
either doing quite involved repairs to the burned channel and most likely replace around 15-20 components (and then adjust)
or finding a good working amplifier module from a donor Beocenter - and then replace trimmers in that module and adjust.
