Hello,
We would like to use both in a room to access sound from our Video and Audio Masters. The Beolab 2000 is next to a bed and used for radio, CD and A.Tape to access a Chromecast audio elsewhere. Like a bedside system. Problem is the Beo4 sets them both off, which is rather unnerving.
Is there a setup that works for both systems in the same room?
Thanks Beoaus
I`d set the MX to V.OPT 1, so it will respond to video commands like TV, DVD, DTV (SAT)...If you have video devices assigned to the same name (for example TV) in both rooms, then you can choose the local "TV" in the link room by pressin just "TV", for access "TV" from the main room press "LINK - TV". If your Beosound 2000 is a Century- that`s what we call it, then it is a standalone system and not for Beolink use, and you can`t set options. But as far as I remember, Century responds only to audio commands. So now you should be able to set the MX and the Century to standby mode separately. Only All stanndby (long press standby) will set the whole system - invcl. masters - to standby mode. If you want to listen to sources of your audiomaster in the link room, try AV-RADIO, AV-CD, AV... This should activate your MX and let you control and listen to your audiomaster in the main room.
Hope this helps...
Stefan
Thanks for the reply Stefan.
I corrected my post. It's a Beolab 2000. Not a Century.
Would your advice still be relevant?
Thanks, Beoaus.
Hi Beoaus
Use option 4 on Beolab 2000.For operating BL 2000 use the LINK command before audio choice eg. Radio.A.mem or CD.
pls see the user manual for BL 2000.

Yes. Main difference in the setup is, you have no local audio sources in the link room. Set your BL2000 to L.OPT 5 and your MX to V.OPT 1 (as said before). Now you can access main room audio sources on the BL2000 by pressing RADIO, CD,.... MX will stay in standby mode. Press Standby and your BL2000 will go into standby mode. Same with MX. Select a video source and your MX will start up - no response from the Beolab. Long press Standby will shut down the whole system. If you want a main room audio source on your MX, press AV-RADIO, AV-CD... Same with BL2000, listening to a main room video source on the Beolab, press AV-SAT, AV-DTV, LINK-AV-TV...
Ok. BTW I have never changed Option settings. So...
On the BEO4 I imagine I would select OPTION? Then press 5 when the Beolab 2000 is on?.. Similar for the MX7000 just using OPTION 1?
I also wonder what options they would be in now?
Thanks Beoaus.

BEO 4: STDBY/LIST simultaneously -> OPTION? -> GO (select) -> V.OPT -> 1
same with BL2000.......L.OPT -> 5
System must be in stdby mode - watch the red light while pressing the number, it should flash one time.
