Hi!

The pickuparm on my Beocenter 2800 won't lift from the record when I hit "Stop" or the record is finished. Instead of rising a few mm before travelling back to its original position, it slides off the record, dragging the needle across the record. This also means that the pickup arm wont return to its original hight, and thus starting from the wrong height the next time.

Any idea why the pickup arm won't lift? Is there anything I can do with it?

Any suggestions are highly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Danslon

Lubricate the tonearm lift/lower mechanics.
Do a search for the same problem for the Beogram series (rather than Beocenter) in the archived forum and
you will find lots more info.
