Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to ask a question, I have just brought beogram 4004 record deck its in mint condition but at some point during its life its had the 5 pin din connector cut off and has had photo plugs put on it with a connector block to the metal cable that runs through the cable. I have the following colors red, blue, white and yellow and the metal earth cable. I am very keen to put a din adapter back on it because when i plug it into my 80s beomaster 2000 all i get it a horrible humming where the earth isn't connected and cant seem to see anything on the amp that i can attach this metal wire to to stop this. Just wondering if anyone could give me  some guidance as never re attached a din plug before. Or if there is anything that i can do to stop the humming sound so i could just leave the phono plugs on ??

Many Thanks,

Lewis

Simplest way to connect the ground wire is: Loosen one of the 4 screws of the back plate, wrap the ground wire around it and tighten the screw again.

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

The earth wire connects to the casing of the DIN plug.
