Greetings,

I listed my mom's System 4500 and sold  it recently on eBay  (or so I thought).   I used their "Global Shipping Program" .       The buyer was hit with approximatelty $100 fee in addition to the Fed Ex cost of $58.   Issue number one:  import tariff.

Issue #2   when I went to print the shipping label there was no way for me to insure it?!    $1000 more or less of vintage, B&O in good working order was not going to be dropped at a Fed Ex pickup station without being insured.

The seller almost cancelled the sale because of the unexpectedly high tariff on used electronics.   I wonder if the shipping "bot"  increased the tariff because the country of origin was listed as Denmark?

Now,  If I want to complete the sale and use the "Global Shipping Program" that I signed up for in this case, I have to be willing to assume all risk between my location and the eBay ship depot in Kentucky!

Buyer is is Montreal,  I am in New Hampshire.    Perhaps I should just go skiing for the day at Mont Tremblant?
