Hi,

I would like to by a nice multiroom speaker for my bedroom and my dealer gave me the Beosound 1 to test it at home. It is a wonderful speaker and I would like to buy it, but the is a small :-) problem with it.

When the speaker is switched off, the small Lens LED (in the middle, under the touch plate) is always on! The speaker should stand on my bedside table but the LED is to bright!

Is there a possibility to switch it out? I don't know, why this nice speaker as this standby LED. My Beosound 35 doesn't habe any LED on, when they are switched off.

Thanks for your answer.

Mirco

Hi,

Sorry, no - but when in stand by the LED will dim to a faint glow. The LED is rather intense when the product is ON.

The LED dims when the BeoSound enters standby. It’s not completely off but much less brighter than it is when it’s playing. I have a BS2 on my bedside table and don’t find it to be an issue.

Yes, the PCB47 can be disconnected - but the LED does provide useful information, so I would consider placing a small removable "hat" on top of the LED instead so that you can sort out these situations:

White flashing slowly Starting up

White solid Connected to network, ready for use

Blue flashing fast Bluetooth pairing ongoing

Blue shortly Bluetooth connection successful

Red shortly Bluetooth connection unsuccessful

Blue solid When not configured to network and not in configuration mode

Amber flashing fast Ready for network setup. Soft AP / WAC mode

Amber flashing slowly Connecting to network

Amber solid Wireless connection of medium quality

Red solid Wireless connection of poor quality

Red flashing fast Failed to connect to wireless network

Would be nice if Bang & Olufsen simply adds a software update to change the LED behaviour, e.g. solid red in standby mode...
