bang olufsen app and essence table remote
problems are: I cannot listen to music coming from beosound 3200.
when I switch on the beosound 3200 speakers don’t switch on anymore.
essence works ok with the app and I can listen to music from my iTunes library.
can you pls help me with the right set up?
cables have been suggested by a B&O official dealer.
thanks in advance
regards
andrew
Hi Andrew,
This sounds as though you either have the wrong cable for the 3200, or it may not be connected correctly. First, please set the Essence to Line In mode via the app.
If the cable is connected to one of the Powerlink outputs of the 3200, please turn up the volume on the 3200 via the keypad on the front panel and play a CD.
If you still don't get sound, please swap the cable at the 3200 (ie. move it from Aux to Powerlink, or from Powerlink to Aux) and try again. (Please power off both units before changing any connections).
If this still gives no sound, you may have a faulty or unsuitable cable. Please let us know how you get on, if you need any help with cabling for this system please click on my sponsor link below and I will be pleased to assist.
Kind regards, Steve.

Hi Steve,
the problem was the volume. Would you recommend to keep the cable coming out from the beosound 3200 as speaker or aux?
cables have been bought from the best seller (you,) so no problems.
i also have problems with the remote....no idea if you can help.
Thanks Andrew!
The cable will be wired for one option only (ie. either Aux socket or Powerlink socket). The Aux output give a fixed level signal, while the Powerlink output varies depending on the volume setting of the system.
If you bought the cable from me and you wish to have it re-wired to work in a different socket, I will be pleased to modify this for you free of charge - please email me via via sponsor link below if you would like to arrange this.
If you can please advise what specific issues you are having with the remote, we can assist further.
