I have been running stereo from a Linn Classik into an Essence 1 for distribution to beolabs. The Linn has gone wobbly after 10 years so I hooked my Oppo directly to the Line In on the Essence. Oppo is set up for stereo out so I took connected L out to L in and got sound. I then did the same with the right and no sound. Switched around for all combinations and the result is the same. That is, Line In Right does not accept a signal, and Line In Left distributes to both beolabs.
Essence sound, however distributes the left to both speakers. Odd. So I borrowed another Essence 1 and the exact same situation. It's a feature, a quirk, or a setting somewhere beyond my capability. I will bet it is something simple.
Any help?
