Sorry if this question has been asked but i couldn't find any answers in the archive. I have a CDX which is just spinning but not reading tracks, otherwise it appears to be pretty clean. I opened it up and it looks like someone has gone through and re-soldered some areas of the board.
I'm a DIYer not an electronic technician so any guidance is appreciated.

What is the condition of the left side door hinge? It it intact? Those are very nice CD players when they are working but can be finicky. Circuit board vias are a common thing to have problems so that is probably what the previous owner tried fixing. The left hinge is also a problem and there is a switch for the door open/close logic associated with that hinge. Maybe it isn't engaging the switch. Try applying a small amount of pressure on the left door right after it closes and see if that helps the switch out.
