I am a 25 year veteran of B&O and have recently bought some second hand kit.
I have Beocentre 2 and Beolab 3500 joined by masterlink cable
The Beocentre does not turn on the speaker when CD is played
The Volume "ring" does not adjust speaker volume
The remote control does both of those things.....what am i doing wrong?
Ive connected the DAB aerial and yet have no reception....
Any help would be most appreciated
You’ve done nothing wrong.
The BL3500 is not a speaker - it is a (Master-) Link Room Speaker - meaning that it has its own ir receiver.
This means, that it is controlled directly from where it is located.
The BL3500 can not be turned on by controlling the BC2 (neither directly or by remote), like when ‘normal’ BeoLab speakers are connected to it via PowerLink (e.g. a set of BL4000).
As for the DAB question - that is hard to comment on from here....without further details.
And - welcome to Beoworld.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Hi
I can say for Slovenia
only DAB+ is working on NON B&O electronics and my Audi car.
DAB no way..i can find all stations ..but no sound from B&O unit.
hi - yes the item is DAB and i have attached the aerial - it cannot find any stations when updating / searching.
Where are you located?
Sure that there is still DAB broadcast, where you live - and not just DAB+ ?
here in the UK DAB is broadcast.
I just get absolutely no reception which is strange
Apparently Dab reception can be very unreliable here in UK.
