My question is can a TiVo virgin media box be fitted ?
I have had four virgin media engineers to date still no joy
anyone else had this problem ?

My previous Avant and BV5 experience was that there was always an option for controlling a Skybox on the STB chip, but not for virgin cable. Do the latest chip/ software updates accomodate Virgin?
There might be a Lintronic solution. The B&O HDRs do everything that at Tivo can do (or at least everything that I need to use)....... but I am now on Sky/ Freeview having moved out of a Virgin cabled area.
My previous experience is also that you will not get any help from either Sky or Virgin when it comes to a B&O set-up.
