Seller has over 10,000 ebay sales to date. Interesting....

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

Martin makes an excellent point.

When in doubt, don't take the leap.

Negative feedback on EBAY is a FLASHING NEON WARNING  that the seller did not take steps to correct or mutually resolve a complaint, refund payment, or sold damaged or deceptive items. No matter how many items sold.

PAYPAL would support you the buyer in recovering your hard earned money, Sort of an additional escrow service provided, if you will.

if the auction item did not work, was broken, or was otherwise " not as described. "  The item would have to be repackaged and returned of course, at your shipping expense.

Hmmm...

1) BeoSound 8 is discontinued.

2) B&O may have quite a few left

3) Reading, the base of the company selling these is very near to B&O UK Head Office.

4) this company has already sold 22 of them, so they must have a good supply from somewhere. I know of no dealers holding 22+ BeoSound 8's in the UK

two plus two might equal five on this occasion, but it makes you think...

5) Reduce inventory to introduce version supporting lighning connector out of the box.

They do an adapter but question is how that will change the look, probably not for the better.

the B&O "adapter" for lightning is not an external adapter, but a exchange connector for the BeoPlay A8, so this would not look different if it was lightning out of the box...

for the BS8... is there an adapter at all? besides the apple one, that will indeed have the effect on looks that you mention.

still might be that an update is the reason for the sale

Quote this 'cause recently i was scammed for 900 euros on eBay ;i paid a B&O item (shame on me ! Angry) with SEPA Bank Transfer.

As the seller received the Bank Transfer, he suddenly became unregistered on eBay ....and so i lost 900 euros.

IMHO; eBay should forbid the possbility of unregister when the buyer stil has not received anything (you CAN unregister, but after 30 days or so; not immediately after the payment,..in this way the seller can SCAM you easily !!!)

...so my suggestion is (like SWISS_2 says) to use Paypal 'cause it's the only payment method which has a bit of guarantee for the buyer.

Never use Bank or Credit Card transfers,'cause they cannot be recovered once the payment is sent...

Ouch! Yes never make bank transfers. I once lost £150 by carelessly transferring money for a Beocom 2 by bank transfer (in a rush on the way to the airport) - I had done this the week before so assumed it would be fine. Surprise surprise, I never got the phone. Lesson learned!
