Does anyone know the cost of fixing the cd player in the Beosound 1 - the cd spins but the laser is not working.

Thanks.

I will have a go at that one. I spoke to B&O and they quoted around £200 - £300 to fix the CD player. Are there any specialists out there to save going to dealers?

Thanks.

Well;

the amount requested seems outrageous to me; changing laser on an Ouverture (which is way harder to disassemble than a Beosound 1) will cost less  !

Anyway, you can ask AV Repair if they can change the laser for a lower amount...damn, 200-300 £ is incredible, you'll buy another Beosound 1 instead of repairing your actual one !

Is it possible to connect a beolab 3500 to a beosound 1 - somehow or other!

Defenitive no chance!

Cheapest way to build up a Masterlink Network is buying a used Beosound Ouverture - or an Beomaster4500 / 6500 / 7000, Beocenter 2300 with using a Masterlink-Converter

BL3500 is Masterlink only AFAIK;  moreover, on Page 5 of the Userguide it's written:

"Note: Although BeoLab 3500 has a Power Link socket, it can not be used as an ordinary Power Link loudspeaker in a audio or video system! "

So, no way !
