Hi all, I found a local seller offering this model. I was wondering if someone can tell me how it compares to other sets like the MX4000 or MX7000? It seems that the two scart ports on the back are labeled VCR 1 (B&O AV1), Decoder (EIA:IS-15), do either one of these accept RGB? Thank you.

AV1 has full RGB capability. The full service manual for this set is on the web site - you need to be a silver member and it is 46Mb in size.

Thanks Peter. The set I am considering has a low FW lever of 1.x, I have been told to try to go for 4.3 and higher so that I can access the service menu from the remote. This would be useful for me however I am more concerned about the picture quality which I have also been told is better in the later sets. Do you know if this is true?

Actually, both SCART ports have full RGB capability. I used to have a VX5000 plugged into AV1, and a DVD1 plugged into the AV2 ports through a breakout cable with SCART, s-video, composite video, stereo audio, and data all attached. With the DVD1 set to RGB mode, the picture was great for the time with absolutely no ghosting or dot crawl.
