It costs money to run a site like Beoworld. Quite a lot actually.
The only places money can come from is our members and sponsors.

A lot of service manuals are available for download from our main website products section for silver and gold members.
All asked for is a small tribute to this site.
Beoworld depends on - and will appreciate - your support.

Beoworld is doing a lot of good things, but should also remember that Beoworld is absolutely nowhere without its members, paying or non-paying. About the forum rules, where can they be found?

Visiting, reading and contributing to Beoworld is free (not counting sales/wanted ads for which we ask a minimum membership level of silver) and
the vast amount of information available is invalueable to many people - also to lots of non-member readers of which we have A LOT.

There are people who only ever think about how much they can get for free, while other people happily share knowledge and
spend hours helping what is in fact complete strangers, without ever asking a single penny.

Beoworld would still be here without the odd surfer and the freeriders.

Beoworld would not be here without the members common understanding of what makes this forum exist.
Beoworld would not be here without the members contributions and support.
Beoworld would not be here if members undermine the pillars on which it stands.

I don't think we're asking too much for what we give in return.
You don't want to support the site? - Fine, you can still be here. Ain't that great?

And to Fred;
If the lamp keeps burning, it could be that you fit wrong lamps or the voltage to the lamp is wrong, overrunning the lamp, for some reason.
If I remember correctly, they are 24V lamps.
I may be able to supply correct lamps.

I never said it has to be for free. It is also possible to ask a fee for every download or every sales/wanted ad, which is less expensive for people who use this service every now and then. And If people use this a lot, they can get a membership so they can download and place ads as much as they want. Paying for Beoworld has no extra benefits for me personally, since I have most service-documentation since 1960 and I can ask people who have worked for Bang & Olufsen for over 30 years if I really don’t know.

Well......I may be speaking out of turn here, I often do, however even a gold membership fee is less than the price of a night in the pub for me and my girlfriend.......and we don't drink a lot 👍

Well, if that is the case there was no problem with my reply where I posted a site where the documentation could be downloaded for free. It is just a small amount of money that Beoworld did not receive........
