Beocom 1600 - no ringing sound

Hi,

Any idea what might be wrong when a Beocom 1600 has stopped ringing? Calls are going through but there is no ringing. Can the inside speaker just die like that?

Hi Frederik,

Just a thought, but his can happen when the Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) is exceeded - see explanation here. and here is what should be on a Dutch phone regarding this (is it called aansluitfactor there?)

Have you added any more phones/modems to your main line recently? If you have too many phones plugged in they will work but they may not ring. Cordless phones do not affect this REN other than the base that is plugged into your phone line.

If not that, then I can't help I'm afraid
