Bang Olufsen App DLNA Playback

I have a DLNA Server in my network and want to play music to my Beovision Avant via the App. I can access the music via Homemedia and play it directly on the TV, but I find that not very convenient. I can see the DLNA collection in the app, but if I want to play It on the Avant, it does not work. Any tips?

You need a music product like a Moment or a Core / Essence I believe.

You will then be able to see that music system as a product in the app, and use the Avant speakers (the music system will need to be set to use the Avant as it's default speaker).

If you don't fancy adding a Moment etc, a separate speaker / system like an A9 or A6, or one of the new BS 1/2 work with DLNA direct from the app.

Unfortunately the Avant won't, hence the need for something additional

Thank you for your help! That is very strange, as I don't believe that there is a technical reason for this. 

Untill a previous sw version the tv acted as a DLNA renderer - means you could play to it.

There has been previous threads about this.

It is something that the guys in Struer know - if there will be a change again, is still uncertain.

The Bang & Olufsen app is mainly meant for the audio products.

However it would be nice, if the app would support the Avant/2014 too.

Please write Beocare a note - the more people asking for this, the better.
