Hello forum

I have two tv-boxes a DVB-T and a DVB-S as I want to use on a Beovision 8 26/32. So I was thinking of using the HDMI and the VGA (via HDMI to VGA cable with sound).

Are there any of you who have tried the two ports - are there any difference on the picture quality?

There are a big difference on HDMI and scart, though it is not a HD television.

How about using a switch for the HDMI-in?

Hi,

Although you can input 720p signals to the Beovision 8 26/32 via VGA and Component video, the clarity via HDMI is FAR BETTER.  I use HDMI for my Humax Freesat box (used 95% of the time) to my BV8-32, with VGA for the PC input (3% usage) and Component Video for the PS3 (2%).

An HDMI switch box is another option to connect more than one box via HDMI, but the TV will only be able to control one device this way (I would suggest setting the STB output to control the device that you use the most).

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.

Another solution would be to get a combi-box with both S and T tuners.

Okay, if the VGA has a bader picture, then I must use a HDMI splitter.

A combi-box that can handle Canal Digital Denmark and the new german DVB-signal (H.265) is hard to find.

Sorry we write in danish! ;-)

I now have tried a computer with HDMI and VGA - when I have set the screen solution right at VGA - NO difference at the picture between HDMI and VGA.
