Hi all,

I have a beocenter 9300 with Penta speakers, love it to bits!!!

I am looking for a set of quality headphones, any recommendations?

I have seen reference to wireless headphones, are they any good? Wireless headphones sound more convenient than cable connected headphones.

How do I kit my Beocenter for wireless if I go for wireless headphones?

I am looking to spend from £150 to £250 on a set.

I prefer a clear sound rather than heavy bass, tend to listen to classical music or "quality modern music" like Cream, Pink Floyd, Led Zeplin, Adele, Phil Collins and Adrea Bocelli, (showing my age and lack of Bass appreciation!!!)

Thanks.

Hi Beiber39,

For wired headphones I can heartily recommend the Beoplay H6. I have the Mk1 version which is very transparent, but some feel is slightly bass shy. The Mk2 apparently addresses this.

For wireless headphones, I love my BeoPlay H9is (which can also be used wired), but I have no experience of add-on Bluetooth transmitters.

Sennheiser HD600 - will exceed your expectations.

B&O will look nice.

+1 on the HD600, also matching your listening tastes.  (Don't spend the extra for the HD650 because the difference is a bass-heavy(ier) sound.)  Tyll Herstens reviewed them a few years ago: https://www.innerfidelity.com/content/very-important-sennheiser-hd-580-hd-600-and-hd-650

I got a pair of Focal Clear's, which (seemingly) sound more accurate, but they're triple the price, and the improvement is significant but not astounding (to old-guy ears).  Not sure which wireless headphones sound as good, but that website above has a wall-of-fame you can check out for a recommendation.

First of all - yes, you’l have to use the aux - Steve@SoundsHeavenly can help with the need cables.

You have different options - bluetooth is one of them....the easiest.

You could add a ChromeCast Audio dongle, or an AirPlay receiver of some kind (an AirportExpress...) or a Playmaker from B&O.

If you want to go all-in you could use an Essence (2nd gen) or the newer Core - these will give you all of the above and more e.g. a built-in netradio function (TuneIn).

So, dependent on what you need, want to spend etc, it is your choice.
