Hi everyone.
Wanted to see what your thoughts are on doing surround sound set up with the following speakers.
7.6 (on 7-55)
2
3 (x4)
4000 (2)
What would be a good placement or would you have other recommendations or additions/changes
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
do you mean changing my 7.6 for a 7.4? if so why would you recommend it?
Hi DinoD,
Beolab 7-6 is a superb centre speaker, there is no need to change this. The main option is to decide which TV and processor you wish to use to drive the speakers - a B&O TV with a surround sound processor fitted is the simplest option, otherwise a non-B&O TV can be used by adding either Beosystem 3 or 4, or a non-B&O AV receiver with pre-out sockets to connect to the speakers.
Please let us know your preferred option and we can help you to get everything set up.
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.

....and you should consider the room, that you use for this purpose.
Are you able to place the speakers in a suitable way - does the room have much hard surface (use blankets, books, carpets.... to avoid unwanted resonances) etc?
Furthermore, how good is the setup routine of the choosen sound processor?
As Steve notes - a BV-tv/system will be the easiest way to go.
