Hi
A while back I bough a Beogram 1900 with a MMC 4000 cartridge. With the turntable came a Denon DL-110 cartridge, which the seller said he had bought as a backup cartridge for the BG1900 in case the MMC4000 broke down.
I would never put the Denon cartridge on the BG as it would totally ruin the look, however would it even be compatible with the pick-up arm of the Beogram?

Certainly not directly. I'm not sure if an adapter exists, but I don't think even that would be possible, since the Denon is mechanically much larger and probably markedly heavier as well - not sure if the stylus weight adjustment in the Beogram would even have enough range, not to talk about the characteristics of the cartridge / tone arm combination being changed.
That Denon is also advertised as a high-output cart, so it might be annoyingly loud in a full B&O system (the MMCs have lower output levels than typical MM cartridges).
The Denon is not a cheapo cartridge though - if you sold it, the money might get you a long way towards retipping the MMC if need arises!
