Hi.  I have a coupIe of questions.

1  I want to do some work on my turntable's lid that has quite a few scratches.  What's the best way to remove the lid?  Try and undo screws on hinges or undo the back of turntable and go from there?

2  I've seen that some B & O turntables can be put into a service position.  Is that possible with this turntable?

Thanks for the advice.

1. Go in from the back and unscrew the hinges from the deck.

2. Yes. It's in the servicemanual. But it won't provide better access for lid service.

Depends on where the scratches are I recently got try Novus on my Beogram 6500. The top of the clear part was quite scratched but the treatment 1,2 and 3 did the magic. Now I can see clearly through the top of the lid

I did one, but you never can get the same level of transparency as when it was new: there is always a very slight haze to it. But you can eliminate the light scratches with a little Brasso and car polish, with some elbow grease too of course!
