Hi,

Most of the time the two-way communication works fine, even from realy far, but sometimes the ‘no contact’ issue shows up.  I have A MCP and A few Beolink 7000 remotes (re-capped), so I am certain that the problem is related to the Beomaster.

Thanx

Hi Stefan

I think the problem is also related to cap’s drying out in the receiver/transmitter PCB.

A friend of mine has  a BM7000 that sometimes don’t react to the remote when it is in standby , and I have BM6500 that I only use for testing and it has a similar problem..... so maybe it’s a common problem.

I think I once saw a posting on the forum about a guy that did some repair on a BM6500 but I can’t finde right now.

Hi,

Think you are right. If I only knew which caps 😄. I have read the thread about the beomaster 6500 overhaul, but that is a bit to complicated for me...I am afraid to do more harm than good. Well, stuff to think about...

Thanks! Stefan

If it's IR, it's mainly in the front panel PCB and perhaps the CPU board too, as seen in Mika's Beomaster 6500 slight overhaul thread.
