Hi,
I just bought a BV7-32 Mk1 to my 7 year old son to use for his PlayStation 4 Pro. The person selling it said that it was an HD ready Mk2 model, but after looking at the serial number it seems to by a Mk1 model.
I have a DVI-D adapter between the HDMI-cable from the PlayStation and an digital/audio converter for the sound.
Somehow I do not manage to find the signal from the PlayStation on the TV. I fugure that I might have to re-programme the Beo4 remote, but I can not figure out how to programme it to find the signal. Or do I first have to change the settings in the menu on the TV?
I am also not sure that I have connected the audio cables correctly on the TV as there are no description on the backside of the TV mentioning audio, nor in the manuals found online.
Does anyone know how I could fix this?
Add "PC" to your Beo4 remote list and then use that to select the TV input of the DVI-D ADAPTER

Hi and welcome to Beoworld!
Firstly, if you have connected the PS4 to the DVI socket on the BV7, then I think that it should be selected using 'PC' on the Beo4. If PC is not already listed (under the LIST function) then you need to add it as follows:
- Press Power and LIST together, the display should read ADD?
- Press GO.
- Press LIST until the display shows PC then press GO.
- PC should then be listed under LIST.
I think that your audio connection should then go to the red and white (R and L) phono sockets near the AV3 SCART socket. I am not sure whether this needs to be set up in the connections menu.
Once the PS4 is connected, and PC selected on the Beo4, hopefully you will have a picture (and sound).
If not, it could be that the PS4 is sending a resolution that the TV cannot cope with. If this is the case, with the PS4 off, press and hold its power button until it beeps once, and then keep holding for about another 7 seconds until it beeps twice more. It should then be in safe mode which enables you to adjust the display settings.
Try all the above and then come back to us if it is still not working - good luck!
A mk1 can be supplied with a hd-ready kit afterwards, so you can't judge this by the cover or serialnumber in this case.
The way is to check that the BV7 has the proper softwareversion 7.x. If it still has software 6.x then it is a first gen BV7.
The the easy way to look is, you should be able in the setup/sockets menu DVI or YPbPr.
The analog sound will go through the choosen AV1, 2 or other choosen one.
AV4 has 2 phono sockets for audio, placed vertical.
You can check the software version.
Your typeversion will probably be 731x.
When you select "PC" on AV4 (which can be changed to other sourcenames), then you can use the phonosockets for left and right.

I managed to add PC to the remote and also to get the sound from the PlayStation to work. Thank you for great advice!
However, I still do not get any picture from the PS4. There is some flickering on the otherwise black screen (and sound), but that is it. I have tried plugging in my laptop using the same HDMI/DVI adapter and I do get picture from the laptop.
I have tried changing settings on resolution (720, 1080 and automatic) on the PS4 using another TV, but with the same result.
In the settings menu on the BV7-32 I have it set to PC on AV4 with "sound" set to "no", "IR" to "No", and "HDTV" to "No". I have also tried "HDTV" set to "YPbPr" with the same result.
Any thoughts or ideas that could help me figure it out?

Could be an HDCP issue. Try this with the PS4:
HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) is enabled by default. To disable this feature, select (Settings) > [System] and then clear the checkbox for [Enable HDCP].
Then try again with the TV. Note that this will restrict some HDCP content on the PS4 from being displayed at all, but most stuff will work.

In the setup menu it says YPbPr, and not DVI. However, it does have a DVI socket on the back of the TV (no VGI). Was there a DVI socket from delivery with the Mk1 model?
How can I find out what software is installed? I can not find it in the menu.

How do I find the Monitor information in the menu? When I press menu, I only get the information below:

Thank you, that did the trick! All games seems to work and the picture is great. However, Spotify, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. does not work.
Do you know if there is a solution to that?

You have a similar set up to mine, however, I use this hdmi to dvi converter: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NAJ4UM2/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
For some reason, this converter also deals with the hdcp problem (i.e strips the hdcp from the signal) - I can therefore turn the hdcp back 'on' in my PS4 and use Netflix, Amazon Prime etc.
Perhaps try this converter instead - it's very cheap!
