Dear all,
I’m about to acquire one. Just wondering what’s better. With my other equipment I use Spotify Connect quite a lot. But actually I can set the device in the Spotify app also to Google cast.
In terms of usability and sound quality there shouldn’t be any difference.
all agree?
Since the latest MKIII version lacks Spotify Connect, I’m not sure if chromecast is basically providing the same service.
Could anyone advice
The latest MKIII version has to be compatible with the lenses and camera as well. The latest version is more advanced than the previous one and we can see how it has been modified.

I guess that depends on your user case, your habits.
With Spotify Connect the device itself fetches the data - this is the same as with ChromeCasting....the app is the controller.
If you basicly use the Spotify app and have no further B&O NL device/s, you could do one or the other - the sound quality should be the same.
If you have other ChromeCast enabled devices and want to play to more/all, casting would be better - because you can make groups via the Google Home app.
With more NL devices (with support for Spotify Connect) or NL tv’s and when you want to use the Bang & Olufsen app, there are some benefits with Spotify Connect.
People, who have compared the MK2 and MK3 speak of overall differences in the sound quality.
Whether this could have an influence on your choice, you would have to decide for yourself - listening to both.
P.S. As far as I remember the A9 first gen had Spotify Connect too - if you don’t intent to use NL multiroom

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Danke Dir Millemissen!
