I have a Beocord 2000 which I am excited to get fully operational but there is a problem...A buzz is coming through above the noise floor, and the sound I get from playing a tape seems accurate still but somewhat off, sort of lifeless compared with other experiences with the same cassette.  So far I've tried plugging it into three outlets, two different output devices, stripped and soldered the ground wires that attach the lid, chassis, and transport, and while I was messing around experimented with some strips of steel in a few locations and shined up the chassis terminal with sand paper, all to no effect.   Would anyone like to offer any advice for delving a little deeper into the issue?
