I have not posted on the forum but have read and solved many issues over many years. I have any issue I have not seen posted before. Any help would be appreciated.

I have purchased a BLC and Core to add to a Masterlink system. I would like to add audio streaming and a Beosystem 6500 to a masterlink system but cannot get the BLC to work.

I have simplified my Masterlink network to do some troubleshooting with a Beosystem 3 in Option 2 connected via masterlink to the BLC. The BLC is connected to a network with the Core. I can get the BLC and Core to respond when it configured as a A.Master but I need to get it working as a Source Center as I already have an A.Master ( a Beosound 9000 Mk1 - can only be a A.Master). When I change the BLC to a Source Center it will not respond to N.Music or N.Radio commands. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

You can only set the BLC as source center if the connected audio master is recent enough to support N.Music and N.Radio. For example, the BeoCenter 2 or BeoSound 9000 mk3.

You will need to change the setting of your BeoSystem 3 to option 6. Then, you can set the BLC as V.Master. You then use video source commands for mapping the NL sources. For example, you can use a simple TV command (mapped for example to Deezer) for a BeoLab 3500. However the command that you use to get the same Deezer source on a BeoVision/BeoSystem will be LINK + AV + TV.

A Beomaster 6500 can also only be set in option 0,1 or 2 that means Audio master like your Bs9000 and it is only possible to have one audio master in a Masterlink setup... however if you have 2 NL/ML converters you can have 2 ML Environments connected through NL....besides that I agree with Beojeffs solution

thankyou. I tried this and it worked. Have changed the Beosystem 3 to V.Option 6 and BLC to V.Option 1. I have reconnected BLC into main masterlink system and it working now with the Beosound 9000.

I now am trying to work out the next problem. Spotify cannot be streamed outside the NL network. All the other sources (internet radio, music, bluetooth, etc) work well. I tried streaming from a iphone/ipad Spotify via Bluetooth to the Core and that works however the range is limited so I not sure that it is a long term solution (it needs to be family proof). I tried Airplay and for some reason everytime I connect via Airplay to the Core it shuts down the whole system (NL & ML). I can turn it back on and choose another source so it appears it not a software crash. One thought I can was connect PL on the Core to the NL/ML converter line in. I have not tried this yet as I do not have he correct cable. Is this the best approach to get spotify onto the ML?

I am also struggling on how to connect the 6500 to the Core. I would like to be able to listen to ML and NL sources on the Beosystem 6500. I think this can be solved by connecting the Beosystem 6500 Aux to the line in of the Core. I would also like to be able listen to the turntable on the ML system. I see there is a lineout on the Beosystem 6500 but it blanked off. What is the best solution to connect the Beosystem 6500 to the core?

Hello beojeff Smile

I have almost the same setup, and your information about LINK + AV + TV(source) solved my problem. I Can now listen to NL sources on my BV10.

Thank you Big Smile

My question now is that i have a friend with almost the same setup as mine. He only needs to press LINK + TV(Or any other source buttun) no AV is needed for his system. It also works if he press AV, but not necessary.

I would be Nice if that was possible for me too. Then i Can use L-DTV or L-DVD buttun, then i dont need to press so many buttons.

Do you know what the difference could be? And how i maybe could ide only LINK + “Source-Buttun”
