Hi,

This topic may have already discussed (I couldn't find any information in the Forum): is there a way to use the Beo6 remote to control newer generation B&O TVs (for e.g. Horizon)? I was told no, but just wanted to be sure. I'm a big Beo6 fan, and find it a pity that this remote cannot be used with the new TVs even if the BeoRemote One BT is certainly a great remote, but it doesn't show all the nice icons.

Hi,

the Beo5/6 are 'only' IR remotes so the counterpart (TV, Audio device or Link device) need to receive the IR signal.

If the new TV requires a BT ( Bluetooth) remote there's no chance. Sad

In the Masterlink system it was at least possible to set the TV to V.Opt.0 and use the Audiosystem in A.Opt2

Yes, that's what I was afraid you would say.

Thank's for the confirmation.

Hi Griebel,

Lintronic in Denmark have just released a new bluetooth interface to their existing lintronic box, this make it able to receive bluetooth signals from Beo Remote One. The same interface seems that it will be expanded in future sw updates to transmit bluetooth signals so that you then may be able to use your existing Beo6 and let the Lintronic box together with the bluetooth interface transmit the correct bluetooth signals to control your TV.

Currently the unit only receives bluetooth signals if you read the notes, but in the future it will be possible to transmit as well it seems.

Thanks Stefan. I read the information in their Newsletter too. Lintronic confirmed that the unit can transmit BT signal from a converted IR signals (using their TT455-RT-238) allowing to control newer generation TVs with Beo4/5/6 remotes.

Haven't ordered one yet. It seems to me that they are still in a validation phase otherwise they would have advertised this possibility more clearly on their web site.

If one has mixed ML/NL network with both a BLGW and Beolink Convertor, wouldnt be possible to have the BLGW send commands to a recent NL TV from Beo6 wifi commands?
