I got my Beogram 8002 back after weeks at the local repairing shop. He fixed the problem (he said) and surely the arm is now lowering at the right place according to what kind of record is on. But after some seconds the arm jumps, and is unable to move inwards. Is it possible for me to fix that? Or is it smart to take it back to the shop. The problem I sent it in for was fixed by "changing a lamp between the REW and FFW buttons". And tested to be OK (but probably without a record on?). I've already paid the shop 210€, and is half the way to a Beogram 8500 sent from Denmark. Is it worth the money to try once more to fix my BG 8002?

Welcome to Beoworld !

Sounds like a broken lamp in the tracking circuit but if you just had it back from service, I suggest you
contact the repairer and tell him what you just told us.
Any decent repairshop will take it back and fix it without questions.

Thank you for such quick answer. I'll phone him first thing in the morning. I take your answer as a sign of how difficult it is to fix B&O products ...

It's not a traditional record player and servicing it CAN be difficult.
A bit easier after the first 500 or so repairs.  Laughing
