Hi - a friend of mine has a Beogram 4000 that keeps blowing a fuse. He thinks it might be the transformer. Is it an easy fix or is the TT only good for parts if that is the case?

Your friend will need to carry out some basic checks to determine where the problem lies, does he have a multimeter he can use and a soldering iron, he will need to disconnect the secondary supplys from the transformer and power up, if the fuse blow again chances are it's shorted.....if not then the problem lies downstream......

I doubt he has ever seen either a soldering iron or a multimeter but will pass it on thanks.
