Hi!
First I want to hear if someone else is having the same issues with the Avant NG as I have.
Second I want to hear if you have any ideas how to solve the problems.
So, the problem is that sometimes when I start the Avant with the selection of HDMI where an Apple TV 4K is connected half of the display is partly green with “old graphics”. The only way to get rid of this is to select an other HDMI-source and then switch back. Mostly it’s solved by then. However, this isn’t what you want to see when you turn on a B&O TV set. So I’m looking for a more solid solution.
What I have done so far is:
None of these actions seams to help.
Have you the same issue? Any ideas?
Best regards Ola
Hi,
Yes, I had this same issue when I had the Avant NG. One half of the screen shows one image and the second half shows another and everything a bit garbled. Unfortunately I never was able to find a fix. It was one of the many bugs with the Avant NG since launch and reason I moved to the Eclipse.
Sorry this doesn’t help. Hopefully B&O could still update and squash this bug.
Hi Ola,
sad to read this.Perhaps interesting if your Avant is an "Android" Avant or MK1 ?
Greetings,
Siggi
Avant NG = "android"!!!!

I also had this issue with an Avant NG when it turned on with an Apple TV 4K being the initial source. However, for me, this issue went away after the last software update to the Avant NG, which I believe was about 6 months ago (plus of minus a couple of months).
This is one of my options if I can’t solve the problem: change to Eclipse.
One question for you Solidsnake: was your Avant NG on wall mounted?
Does it fit the cable outlet position?

Mine hasn’t :-(
I have had a B&O technician at home but he couldn’t fix it.

If I understand your question correctly - is the area where the cables come out of the back of the Avant in the same place on the back of the Eclipse? If that’s what you meant, the answer is no. The cables come out of the Eclipse body a bit higher than the Avant. But the Eclipse is also a taller TV with the sound center included. I didn’t have my Avant wall mounted nor do I have the Eclipse wall mounted.
If you do choose to move to the Eclipse, you won’t be disappointed. In my opinion it is far superior to the Avant and in spite of what a lot of people think about the Eclipse, when you use it everyday it certainly feels like a B&O product.

Yes, that’s what I meant. Where the cables comes out from the wall.
If its possible to place the Eclipse on the same position on the wall (centering). Hight position can change a bit up or down, that’s ok.
