5500 Beocenter line out , two Beolab 6000 as loudspeakers. one side is switching on from red dot to green dot and playes music. the other side remains calm and red dot! Turning the the bottom up of the malfunctioned Beolab 6000 and unplug / plug the audio signal this loudspeaker starts working also!
does somebody knows where I have to start searching for the fault? It seams , that the start peak of the audio signal is to weak to switch the amplifier on.

The Beolab 6000 is being "triggered" by the signal in this configuration,rather than by a control voltage where Powerlink connections are available.Try setting the start up volume level (a little higher) of the '5500 to see if this overcomes the problem?
The Beolab 6000 is usually quite sensitive when used via the line in connection.
The line output connection of the BM5500 is in fact taken from the main amplifier output.

Thanks for the answer. I connected the BL 6000 as well to a Beocenter 9300 via Bolink , same problem. It is not volume related.....

So,you connected the BL6000 to the Beocenter 9300 using Powerlink cable,or how?
thats right , with powerlink , I have 5 Beolab 6000 standing arround all others are working fine , just one is only working while unplugging and plugging again after the Beocenter 9300 has started playing.
It does appear as if the auto switch on circuitry within the 'speaker is faulty.It's triggered by signal in "aux in" mode and by a voltage in Powerlink mode.Further investigation inside the 'speaker will be necessary.
There are several self protection systems which may be culpable,or it could be the stand-by relay itself.
Early versions suffered from foam rot,where the foam decomposes and can leave a conductive film on the pcb's,which may be causing problems?
I think you will need to venture inside the item to see what's going on
