i have been given a beocenter 7002 which was until recently working (allegedly!). Unfortunately nothing seems to be working at the minute so I was wondering if anyone in the UK was aware of anywhere that I can take it to to be given the once over.

it does power up, I can set the clock but that is about it. Have even tried to connect CD player via aux in but get no sound at all.

i live in Hertfordshire so anywhere fairly nearby would be beneficial.

thanks

Speakers connected?
Speaker switches switched on?

Does tape run?
Does record player run?

Speakers connected and switched on.

Tape doesn’t run but small turntable spindle does turn without belt on but will not turn turntable when old belt fitted. Haven’t tried replacing turntable belt.

I can supply correct belts etc. for the turntable and tape.

If this Beocenter has the EXT or LINE-IN/OUT -socket at the back, has the blinding (loop) plug been installed)?

I am talking about a (n eventual) socket at the back. - On the flip-up panel where the speaker sockets etc. also are.

PM or email me.

Hi martin

have changed the belt on the turntable. Motor spins but not the platter. It moves very slightly and will continue spinning if I help it along to start off with.

Is the belt VERY lose?
Will the platter spin freely by hand with no belt installed?
