Hi all, the on/off switch has failed on my cassette player, won't remain in the on position
does anybody know how to dismantle the front panel, there are lots of manuals available all over the web but these are service manuals and don't have instructions for dismantling in the first instance
any help would be much appreciated
Top plate off (two screws at the back and a clip holding the VU-meters).Side panels off (if plastic based just pry them off carefully, if metal based two grub screws each side under the top plate). Now you should be able to see what's going on.
The upper and lower rails are held by these holders and locking wedges:https://beoparts.com//?s=beocord+1100+front+rails&search=Go
Some power switches are fitted with screws tightened from the inside, others from the outside through the front rails.Perhaps this will help:https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/6736/255085.aspx
