I am currently using a Beomaster 7000 but this applies to turntables like the BG1700 and numerous others.
I was listening to an LP that I haven't heard in years and was distracted for a few minutes. I wanted to go back to the part I missed. Unlike a BG400x the aforementioned TTs have no facility to lift the tone arm and move it back any amount. The tone arm has no "lift arm" to raise it manually. I find it impossible to grab the tone arm to move it back. What do I do?
In my case, I try to grab the tone arm with thumb and forefinger. The resultant sound of needle against grooves is horrific.
Is my only solution to go back to square one and re-play the entire album?

Stop the deck, push the tonearm to the part you want to hear and press play.

I feel like I'm breaking the First Commandment of Turntables. I forgot that the arm's home position is UP. Well, if it doesn't mind. But I can't help expecting a great big brrrzzzhhiiippppppp..
